It is good to have an optometrist that is not only good at what he does but known to be a leading expert in his chosen professional field. I also have the honor of having known “Dr. David” since high school over a half century ago. Dr. David went to Red Rock School, when it was known to be one of the poorest funded school districts in the State of Oklahoma. The school no longer exists, for back in the 1980s, it was absorbed by a brand-new school, that became known as Fronter Schools, and that new school had the distinction of being the richest school district in Oklahoma.
David Cockrell got his degree in zoology at Oklahoma State University and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry. With his wife, Dr. Sherry Cockrell, they opened the Cockrell Eye Care Center over 35 years ago in Stillwater, Oklahoma. I became one of his patients back and have been ever since receiving excellent care for my many eye issues.
During that time Dr. David served as a member and president of Oklahoma State Board of Examiners in Optometry. Dr. David Cockrell is so passionate about the field of Optometry that he is nationally recognized by his peers and has held many leadership positions and has received numerous awards for his efforts. He has provided professional testimony to both houses of Congress. He is driven by his passion to care for his patients by making their eyes as healthy as they can be. He has founded several organizations and served on several, including Oklahoma State Board of Examiners in Optometry, where he was president. His clinic currently serves as EyeCare consultants for Oklahoma State University Athletic Department. It is good to go to the BEST!
Well done, I think my sister and her husband use that clinic. The red rock story is extremely interesting. Went from one of the poorest to one of the richest with the manufacture of electric power.
